Dear Rotarians and friends,
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Savannah Sunrise! On behalf of the club, I would like to thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to learn more about who we are and what we do.
It is both a privilege and an honor to serve as president of the Rotary Club of Savannah Sunrise. I am excited about the possibilities of providing great service in our community, as we have done since our charter in 1997. I would like to invite you to join me as we strive to make a difference in the lives of the citizens in our community and around the world.
Our work touches the lives of individuals and families in a variety of ways. We recognize the importance of building a safe, healthy community where our members live, work and play. We provide financial support to the Ronald McDonald House which provides a restful, comfortable place for children and their families to find refuge and support as they receive medical treatment at our nearby hospitals. . . . and Midtown Community Center, a place where children can safely do their homework and be nurtured by caring adults. Those are just two of the several local organizations that our club supports. Additionally, members of the Rotary Club of Savannah Sunrise actively engage in the community by volunteering their time, talent and resources to help children and family in need.
Globally, through our active involvement with Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP), we provide scholarships to international students for one year of study at Armstrong State University. The program goal is to promote world peace and understanding through the means of education.
The Rotary Club of Savannah Sunrise could not reach our of goals of doing good without our members, who are engaged and motivated business leaders, dedicated to the success of our club and our community. With their support we will continue to be the great service organization . . . one of which our city can be proud. Please join us for our regular meeting every Thursday at 7:30 am at the Hilton Garden Inn Historic District. (click here for a map)
I look forward to an exciting and fulfilling year.
Yours in peace through service,
